Remixing Journalism Formats, Technology and Design
On Friday 30 October, the seventh edition of the News Impact Summit (NIS Amsterdam) will be held at Pakhuis de Zwijger. Carrying the theme “Remixing Journalism Formats, Technology and Design”, the event will put a spotlight on new journalism formats in which technology and design take up a central role. How can journalists and editors incorporate more and better visuals into reporting? How can data journalism and interesting new technologies be implemented effectively in the newsroom? These are questions that the News Impact Summit in Amsterdam will cover.
Organised by the European Journalism Centre (EJC) and Google News Lab, this one full-day public event will feature some of the experiences with new journalism formats. The event brings together leading journalists and media experts from diverse backgrounds including international and Dutch media and independent journalism organisations. Participants will have an opportunity to join the debate with the experts. They can attend workshops on topics varying from graphics and data charts to incorporating social media in broadcast/print products.
All those with a passion for journalism are welcome to attend: journalists, editors, newsroom managers, journalism trainers, J-school students and other stakeholders. Lunch and drinks will be offered free of charge. Limited seats available.
